After just getting back from my first All-American tournament, I’m still taking in all the memories and friends I had and made down there. After hearing at the pre-tournament meeting that there were 30,000 anglers competing to reach this elite event and only 49 of us made it! I knew no matter what the outcome of the event, I had won already, just to get here! Following is a little recap of my week. On and off the water! [ read more ]

The fourth stop of the year was coming fast. I really have not had much time on Truman Lake to feel comfortable I was going to do well. So I decided to hit the water for a couple days prefishing the week before with my Dad. We had a blast catching a ton of fish on Saturday during the storms and last day of cooler weather for the rest of the summer! On Sunday we jumped in on a local tournament out of Sterret creek and when the day ended we had a second place finish! My Dad and I couldn’t have been happier for our long drive home.
Tuesday : Arrived to the pre-tournament meeting at the Hilton conference room to register and meet my day one partner. As always I was nervous cause you always want to draw a guy you can hang out on the boat all day with and have fun! After much anticipation boat 41 was called and I had drawn Robert Walser, A seven time qualifier for the All-American and a former all-american champion! I was extremely happy with my draw. I met up with Robert and we immediately hit it off. Off to the boat yard we went where FLW had 49 ranger boats waiting for the anglers to load their tackle for a day of practice on Wednesday!
Next week will be An excited week for me. I'll be heading down to my first All American in Shrevesport,Louisiana! 15,000 anglers from across the nation attempted to make here and that field was narrowed down to 49! I'll keep post coming in daily on my facebook page! check out the link to read more on the wonderfull event. > check out more
Ever since I was in a pumpkin seat I’ve had a fishing pole in my hand and once I learned how to cast that pole... well let’s just say there's been no turning back. I remember rushing to the local lake with Dad to meet up with Grandpa after Friday night little league games to fish into the early mornings. Having my mom drop me off at the creek to wade the cool waters while she ran to town for the afternoon. Best of the all, I knew I was addicted when I left my junior year prom at 10:30 to rush down to the lake to meet Andy for a night of fishing! My date thought I was crazy but I knew I wasn’t—I had priorities!!! These are just a few of many events that took place that led to my passion I have and share with millions of anglers around the world!!!
